How can someone get creative with packaging and include hidden messages, surprises, or little details that make the unboxing experience more fun or memorable? Like, what are some clever or unique ideas to sneak in those extra touches?

Sometimes, just a small personal note or a playful hidden symbol can do the trick—it doesn’t have to be overly complex to feel special.

Honestly, I kind of dislike it when there are too many hidden things or riddles in packaging—it can get annoying if all I want is my product and not a puzzle.

I get the appeal of adding hidden messages or surprises in packaging, but I can't help but wonder if it sometimes comes off as unnecessary gimmickry. In my experience, when I open a package, I’m mainly focused on the product itself. If I have to sift through layers of confetti and riddles to finally get to what I ordered, it kind of ruins the excitement.

Plus, in a world where we're all trying to be more environmentally conscious, those extra materials and complicated designs can lead to more waste, which seems contradictory to the whole unboxing vibe. It’s great to create memorable experiences, but at what point does it become more about the gimmick than the actual product? Anyone else feel that these types of surprises can sometimes overshadow the reason we ordered in the first place?

Too much fuss with hidden messages can just be distracting and feel like overkill. Sometimes less is more.

If I wanted a treasure hunt, I’d go to the beach, not open a box! Just give me my stuff, please!
