Have you found any innovative ways to reuse delicatessen cups at home?

  • Turn them into mini planters for starting an indoor herb garden.
  • Use them for organizing small items like paper clips, beads, or screws.
  • Create homemade candles by filling them with wax and a wick.
Have you found any innovative ways to reuse delicatessen cups at home?

So, you know those little delicatessen cups we all end up with piling at home? I mean, it would be a waste to toss them, right? And, recycling is certainly a way to go. Yet, I can't help thinking there's gotta be more creative and fun ways to reuse them. Maybe some DIY project or organizing stuff around the house? How about you guys, any innovative ideas up your sleeve for these cups?

Absolutely, getting creative with those leftover deli cups is a cool challenge. Why not use them as planters for small plants or seedlings? If you got kids, these cups could turn out to be the perfect canvases for mini painting or crafting projects. You might also want to consider them for storing or sorting tiny items like buttons, pins or even screws. Good old practical storage, but still, it's a step toward a zero-waste lifestyle. How 'bout it, anyone tried using them any other ways?

Well, I have to admit, I hit a brick wall with this one. Tried using the cups as organizers for small hardware in the garage, but they're just not durable enough to hold up. Thought about using them as planters, but the lack of drainage makes that a no-go. They seemed like a good idea for craft storage for the kids, but the lack of lids makes that a disaster waiting to happen. I'm all for reusing and recycling, but in this case, I'm not seeing very practical applications. There's gotta be something I'm missing here, right?

I can completely relate to feeling stumped about what to do with those deli cups. They can certainly be tricky to repurpose in the right way. But, hear me out on this one - have you thought about using them as molds for homemade candles or soap? You can easily melt the wax or soap base, add in your choice of fragrance or essential oils and pour into the cups. Once they're set, you can just pop them out. Sure, it might not be the solution for everyone, but if you're into DIY projects or even thinking about handmade gifts, it could be a neat idea. Then again, it's just about getting creative and finding what works for you, right? Any other suggestions out there?

That's an interesting point about DIY candles and soap! Has anyone tried using these deli cups for freezing portions of sauce or soup? Or maybe even tried them as molds for making homemade bath bombs?

I'm a bit skeptical about using deli cups for freezing. Are they even safe for that? Just wondering how they hold up in the freezer and if there are any concerns with chemicals leaching into food.

Honestly, I just use them for mixing paint or holding water when I’m doing little art projects at home. They’re super handy for stuff where you don’t really care if they get messy or stained.
